91 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "There is a touch of the exotic on both the nose and palate of the 2014 Monzinger Kabinett from the Schönleber family. The bouquet is quite expressive, offering up scents of pear, a hint of pineapple, herb tones, white flowers, a touch of honeycomb and a lovely base of slate. On the palate the wine is medium-full, complex and shows excellent backend mineral drive, with bright acids and fine cut and grip. I like how this wine, despite its touch of tropical fruit elements, closes with a classic Halenberg herb tones on the finish. Good juice, but not quite as classy as the 2017 and 2016 versions. 2019-2045. (Jul/Aug 2019)"
91 points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2014 Riesling Monzinger Kabinett opens with a lovely, pure and flinty/mineral-flavored white fruit aroma. Sweet, piquant and light, this is quite a mineral and salty, if not complex Kabinett from 30-year-old vines on a gravelly soil. The finish is salty and almost dry. This is elegant, pure and mineral Riesling with a food-friendly dryness and salinity. Pure stones with a hint of Riesling. Bottled with 34.5 grams of residual sugar. Drink: 2016-2030. (3/3/16)"
