95 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "Like many of his colleagues in the Nahe, Frank Schönleber’s estate was hit by frost. He initially thought he had lost 70% of the fruit, but in the end harvested “a little more than half of what [they] usually pick.” In the Halenberg and Auf der Ley, Schlönleber lost 70% of the fruit. “The remaining season went relatively well, with sufficient sunlight and water availability and no heat spikes,” he said. Schönleber started picking on September 22. The main harvest got into full swing in early October and finished on October 18. The wines are exquisitely precise, wonderfully elegant and beautifully svelte, a sublimation of Riesling in the Nahe. Drink: 2025-2055. (Sep 2025)"
94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2024 Frühlingsplätzchen Riesling GG, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, delivers a quite restrained and smoky nose of aniseed, herbal tea, smoke, minty herbs, thyme, lavender, and freshly cut herbs. The wine is very precise and beautifully layered on the gently creamy yet fresh and animating palate. The finish is super long and energetic. This is a splendid, complex dry Riesling. 2032-2044. (Issue #77; Sep 2025)"
