98 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2017 Halenberg Riesling Beerenauslese is very intense but clear, even fresh on the spicy and flinty-scented, super aromatic nose with its wholemeal grain aromas. Extremely rich and concentrated, creamy and piquant on the palate, this is a rich and oily-textured yet enormously piquant and even refreshing BA with a long and vital, incredibly pure and refreshing but refined finish. This is a genial TB with great concentration, richness and finesse. It's not as crystalline. Handmade. Tasted in July 2019. Drink: 2020-2100. (Oct 2019)"
97 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Halenberg Beerenauslese is also strikingly mineral in personality this year. The bouquet is flat out gorgeous, jumping from the glass in a mix of pineapple, peach, honey, tropical flowers and that impressive touch of minerality. On the palate the wine is fullish, pure and vibrant in profile, with great depth at the core, stellar complexity and great acidity giving the wine cut and exceptional precision on the very long and dancing finish. A great BA. 2018-2065. (May/Jun 2018)"
