95 points Luca Gardini: "One of the most important producers of the territory of Vulture, an organic, well-structured project that made up this wine, which has the Albanian name of pomegranate, symbol of luck and hope. Nose of black cherry, with balsamic notes, then thyme and white pepper. Dense palate, with salty tannins and finish with fruity return and sweet spices."

93 points Raffaele Vecchione (WinesCritic.com): "Deep and clear, it displays energy and character in notes of black plums, prunes, lavender, and abundant wild violet. The underlying aroma is rich with notes reminiscent of dark chocolate and the subtle sweetness of vanilla. Full-bodied, soft, and voluminous on the palate, it displays perfectly ripe, firm tannins and a taut, vibrant finish that will need time to unfold. Wow, a spear of infinite persistence. Better from 2024. (Aug 2021)"

92 points Eric Guido (Vinous): "The 2019 Aglianico del Vulture SCEG needs a good decant or coaxing in the glass to blow off some smoky youthful reduction. Beneath awaits a wild mix of peppery herbs, blackberries, dried citrus and hints of animal musk. It’s soft and enveloping, yet quickly takes on a zesty and energetic flair, with tart wild berries and cooling mineral tones motivated by a bolt of nervous acidity. The 2019 finishes with tension and lightly-structured, leaving the palate drenched in primary concentration, as tart black currants are pleasantly offset by a hint of sweet lavender. This is only the second vintage for the SCEG, and it really shows the potential of the fruit sources that Elena Fucci is using. These sources are made up of farmers who work alongside the Fucci family for decades and tend to some of the oldest parcels in the region. This is really well done. Drink 2023-2029 (Sep 2022)"
