16.5/20 points Jancis Robinson, MW: "Very bright crimson. Sumptuously ripe nose. Transparent impression; feather-light. Only suitable for those whose ideal burgundy is this lighter style. Drink: 2033-2047. (1/16/25)"
An elegant young Gevrey-Chambertin, Jeunes Rois ("young kings") exhibits scents of red cherries and blackcurrant. It has a silky texture and notes of sour cherry. Made from vines planted in 1953 at the end of a string of premier cru parcels in the northern sector of Brochon, it is medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a hint of tension and a pure, silky style.
