This is marvelous and concentrated with that underlying seductiveness innate to this Grand Cru. Showing good weight on the mid-palate, the mouthwatering acidity and sleek tannins have no problems reining in the cherry fruit exuberance. (2023)"

Pure red fruit, strawberries in particular, though without too much cream. A good fresh acidity beneath, attractive more than compelling though certainly persistent. Drink from 2026-2032. 93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, which includes 15% whole bunches, is precise and detailed on the nose with raspberry and wild strawberry, iris flower and notes of chalk dust. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, fleshy and generous, not complex per se but sensual on the finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth. Drink: 2025-2042. (Jan 2023)"

'Very Fine+' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Domaine Duroché Charmes-Chambertin 2021 is a silky, rich wine bursting with the cool freshness of the vintage. Always the first harvested, this is nonetheless a wine that will benefit from some cellaring. The Lavaux and the No. 26 may well run circles around the Charmes-Chambertin currently, but with age, the Charmes will shine. I love the balance of the 2021 version. Drink from 2030. (10/27/22)"
