93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Wafting from the glass with scents of lime zest, white flowers, pear, tangerine and wet stones, the 2020 Rully 1er Cru Les Margotés is medium to full-bodied, taut and incisive, with a satiny attack that segues into a deep, tightly wound core girdled by racy structuring acids. It's a sapid, intensely flavored white that will reward some bottle age. Drink: 2025-2045. (8/25/22)"
93 points La Revue du Vin de France: "From a vineyard planted in 1946, Les Margotés was tasted in January and then June 2022. It delivers the beautiful reduction from the lees, is full-bodied and straightforward, and its minerality will help it stand the test of time. (2023)"

91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines planted in 1947). Like the Vauvry, a very pungent nose consists of generous wood and reduction so be sure to give this a thorough aeration if you're going to crack a bottle young. Otherwise, there is excellent intensity to the beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors that are at once rich yet sleek, all wrapped in a markedly saline-suffused finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. Drink: 2027+. (Oct 2022)"
