98 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "The 2021 Pinot Noir Bressay Estate saw 40% whole-cluster fermentation. Medium ruby-purple in color, it strolls confidently out of the glass with perfumed redcurrant jelly, wild blueberries, pomegranate, candied violets, and lavender scents, giving way to notes of underbrush and mossy tree bark. The medium-bodied palate is both elegant and intense, with great tension and very fine-grained tannins, finishing very long and with a compelling lift. This vineyard was planted in 2005 at a high planting density of 4 ft x 3 ft with 2/3 Calera & 1/3 943 clones. pH 3.48, ABV 14%, 565 cases made. Alcohol 14%. Drink: 2025-2040. (7/2/23)"
97 points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "[$115 list] The 2021 Pinot Noir Bressay Estate Vineyard has a medium ruby color and a well of blueberry, raspberry, Earl Grey tea, rosewater and conifer aromas. The medium-bodied palate gets its power from sheer fruit concentration rather than structural weight. Carried along by seamlessly fresh acidity and a silky texture, this ultra perfumed Pinot Noir is especially expressive and will be long-lived in the cellar. (6/15/23)"
96+ points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Pinot Noir Bressay Estate Vineyard is a potent, brooding wine. Huge tannins wrap around a core of blackberry, crème de cassis, lavender, chocolate, sage and menthol. Readers will have to be patient, as this powerhouse Pinot is going to need a number of years to come into its own. It's a tannic beast today. Drink: 2025-2041. (Aug 2023)"
