97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Pinot Noir Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard emerges from the steepest portion of the vineyard, a section planted with Calera clone. Plush and super-concentrated, the 2021 saturates the palate with intense red plum and blood orange fruit. The Jentoft always has an exotic quality, as it does again in 2021. It's a classic DuMOL Pinot. This vineyard is not very well known by name, but it consistently yields Pinots of world-class quality. Superb. Drink: 2025-2036. (Aug 2023)"

96 points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "[$115 list] The 2021 Pinot Noir Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard has explosive aromatics and flavors this vintage, its intensity turned way up! Raspberry, red cherry and orange marmalade are complemented by savory tones of iodine and tobacco. The palate is equally impressive, with incredibly concentrated fruit and generous earthy accents. It has a seamless, silky structure with bright acidity and a very long, layered finish. I would be inclined to drink this right now, although its savory undertones will blossom over the next decade in the bottle. Drink: 2025-2035. (6/15/23)"

96 points James Suckling: "Very dense yet polished with fine tannins and high acidity. Medium-bodied yet so structured and muscular that the phenolics give it energy and form. Yet there’s plenty of flavorful of ripe tannins. Iron. Juicy. Flavorful. Calera clone. Better in three or four years. (3/20/23)"

95 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2021 Pinot Noir Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard jumps from the glass with exuberant notes of redcurrants, cranberry preserves, and mulberries, followed by hints of orange oil, cardamom, and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate is elegant and restrained, with bags of freshness and fine-grained tannins, finishing on a lingering ferrous note. No whole-bunch fermentation was used. DuMOL planted this vineyard with the Duttons in 2007, all to Calera clone. pH 3.56, ABV 13.5%, 419 cases made. Drink: 2024-2032. (7/2/23)"

95 points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "A youthful ruby/purple, the 2021 Pinot Noir Dutton-Jentoft is perfumed and spicy, with pure notes of ripe raspberry, fresh herbs, and roses. Medium-bodied and linear, with orange peel, clove, and forest herbs, fine tannins, and a bright driving acidity, it’s bright and zippy with pomegranate. Drink 2024-2034. (7/21/23)"
