95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Scented with peat, roses, lilac and black raspberries, this is one of those wines you could just smell rather than bother to drink. There's a sexy muskiness that lurks underneath the masses of concentrated fruit. Alas, you'll be best off waiting a bit as the tannins are notably drying. Patience will be rewarded. (2025)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet that unfolds light touches of finely delineated raspberry, blackcurrant, peony and menthol scents with each swirl. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a mélange of red and black fruit and a liberal sprinkling of black pepper toward the finish from the stems. Very harmonious and quite persistent, this is a very fine Beaux Monts that has a little more elegance than the previous vintage. Drink: 2028-2050. (Jan 2025)"

92-95 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a parcel of .73 ha on the Flagey side). A cool, airy and elegant nose is comprised by purple fruit, exotic spiced tea and pretty floral wisps. The super-sleek, detailed and mineral-driven middle weight flavors exude evident minerality on the youthfully austere and strikingly persistent finale. This is not particularly dense but the balance is excellent and this too should age effortlessly. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts was still quite primary when I tasted it, unfurling in the glass with aromas of cherries, petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and suave, with a sweet core of fruit, it's pure and mineral. (Jan 2025)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A fairly intense ruby purple colour. Class and elegance to the nose, though being quite discreet at the moment. Partly a heady red fruit, partly some darker raspberry behind, a firmer and drier finish, this is not all quite together, and should build from this cautious assessment. (Nov 2024)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 les Beaux Monts was a bit reductive at the time of my visit to the cellars here, but it was not as grumpy as the Combottes and eventually deigned to be swirled enough in the glass to reveal a lovely blend of plums, black cherries, Vosne spice tones, pigeon, woodsmoke, nutmeg, dark soil tones and new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, tangy and deep at the core, with good soil signature, a lovely core, fine-grained tannins and a long, complex and very elegant, well balanced finish. A lovely vintage for the Beaux Monts. 2037-2085. (Jan/Feb 2025)"
