94-96 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts was another wine that underwent a rather late malolactic fermentation, but it was nonetheless showing extremely well, wafting from the glass with notes of cherries and cassis mingled with notions of exotic spices and burning embers. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, it's rich and fleshy, with sweet tannins and a long, expansive finish. (Jan 2025)"

94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mixed ages from the 1960s through to 1996, and they have recently top grafted some of the younger vines. Picked a little later in the series. Since 2020 Jeremy has opted for less extraction having realised that Malconsorts will always stay firm. Just racked back to barrel after a very late malolactic. This is sensual, absolutely on the cusp of red and black fruit, with energy provided by the whole bunches to stop it becoming too rich. (Nov 2024)"

94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru is another cuvée that suffered some reduction during its élevage. Despite that, the nose still has a little more density and fruit concentration, with a hint of Japanese nori in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweeter entry than the Beaux Monts. Candied orange peel notes commingle with touches of red cherry and strawberry fruit. It's a little spicy and strict on the finish. Excellent. Drink: 2028-2052. (Jan 2025)"

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Black currants, fireplace timbers and kitchen spice light up the nose. Smoky minerality overtakes the sultry and seriously long finish. There are several planting dates here with most of the vines being from the 1960s. (This was purchased into the Dujac fold in 2005.) Evocative and seamless, the structure is a timeless representation of Vosne. (2025)"

93-95 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.57 ha parcel). An ultra-floral-suffused nose features airy aromas of mostly red berries and more discreet spice nuances. The highly energetic and beautifully detailed larger-bodied flavors possess excellent volume and minerality while delivering outstanding power and length on the tightly wound finale. Like the Combottes, Seysses indicated that the malo finished late and it shows as this is presently distinctly primary. Drink: 2038+. (Jan 2025)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "In a complete role reversal, Domaine Dujac’s 2023 Vosne-Romanée “les Malconsorts” is all beautiful black fruit this year! This wine was also a touch reductive at the time of my visit, but a bit of swirling revealed a complex nose of black raspberries, black cherries, duck, raw cocoa, a fine base of soil tones, a lovely array of spices, cedar and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and nicely reserved in personality out of the blocks, with a sappy core of black fruit, lovely mineral inflection and grip, suave tannins and a long, well balanced and vibrant finish. This will be excellent once it is ready to drink. 2037-2085. (Jan/Feb 2025)"
