95-97 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2016 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts actually has a similar bouquet to the Les Beaux Monts but with heightened mineralité which is prioritized over the fruit. I was momentarily whisked back to my youth, pot-holing in the Lake District, that tang of limestone and moorland in the air. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin. As Alec Seysses remarked, there is more 'wine' in the Malconsorts compared to the Beaux Monts. It has brilliant delineation and a very complex finish that fans out with real confidence. This is one of the top wines from Dujac. Chapeau. Drink: 2022-2050. (Dec 2017)"

94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The Gaudichots component is younger vines and the two plots are complementary. Royal purple, reserved but classy nose. Too early yet for detail. On the palate this is glorious, a magical, long silken, fresh mineral mouthful with superb persistence. Really noble. (Jan 2018)"

94-97 points Fine Wine Review: "It’s a great year for Malconsorts and with Dujac’s we’re well into grand cru quality. The nose has typical animal aromas and also floral elements. It is pure and penetrating. The mouth is pure with darker fruit than in the Beaux Monts; there’s also some Malconsorts animality, salinity, and overall freshness. (1/3/18)"

96 points (18/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "The elegance and distinctive mellowness of Aux Malconsorts reflect the exceptional quality of the terroir. Although the oak is still marked at this stage, we know how well it integrates with ageing, and how well it serves the nobility of the raw material. (2020)"

96 points Tim Atkin, MW (Jan 2018).

95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru, which had recently been bottled, has a tightly wound but intense bouquet that responds to aeration. The fruit appears a little darker than the 2015 with just a touch of pressed iris coming through. The palate is well balanced with a fresh, quite grippy entry. I admire the focus and precision on the display here and like the 2015, the stem addition is judiciously interwoven into the fabric so that it does not impede upon terroir expression. It feels long and tender on the finish, completing a Malconsorts with immense potential. Tasted at Flint Wines's Domaine Dujac tasting in London. Drink: 2023-2050. (Mar 2019)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2016 Malconsorts from the Seysses family is more reserved on both the nose and palate than the lovely Beaumonts this year, but also more precise and transparent. The bouquet is a youthful and shy blend of raspberries, blood orange, cherries, superb minerality, Vosne spices, gamebird and cedary new wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and very much defined by its minerality on the backend, with fine-grained tannins, lovely, tangy acids and great length and grip on the energetic and very refined finish. This will be a great bottle of Malconsorts with sufficient bottle age, but it will demand a good decade in the cellar before it starts to stir. 2026-2065. (Nov/Dec 2017)"

94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.57 ha parcel). A more deeply pitched and cool array of violet, spice, dark currant, earth and floral aromas introduce the rich, robust and obviously powerful big-bodied flavors that brim with minerality on the driving and built-to-age finish. Textbook Malconsorts in every sense including the need to age it. In short, this is a knockout. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2019)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "This year’s Malconsorts opens in the glass with a complex bouquet of wild berries, raspberry, wood smoke, game bird and spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and nicely concentrated, with good depth and dimension, its rich but savoury tannins cloaked in a firm core of fruit. This is a serious Malconsorts which should be one of the longer-term wines in the Dujac cellar this year. Drink: 2026-2045. (10/19/17)"
