94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Combottes is a vineyard that’s right on the border with Morey-St-Denis and right next to Clos de la Roche, making wines with lovely freshness and poise. The whole bunch character is very appealing here, all clove and pepper spice, complemented by the grip and tannic underpinning of Gevrey-Chambertin. 2022-30. (Jan 2017)"
94 points (17/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "Gevrey Aux Combottes offers a vigorous sap and a rich, energetic profile that is still tight but vibrant. With its fine tannins and fresh fruit, this wine stands out more for its dynamism than for its immediate seductiveness. (2018)"
93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Like the Morey-Saint-Denis Villages, Domaine Dujac's 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes was still very much open for inspection when I tasted it in November, bursting with aromas of plums, raspberries, wood smoke, spice and peony. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and dramatic, its rich, fine-grained tannins entirely cloaked in an ample core of bright, juicy fruit. This is a rather gourmand Combettes that should offer a broad drinking window. Drink: 2021-2050. (Apr 2018)"
93 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.16 ha parcel). A completely different aromatic profile is comprised by notes of bright, cool and exceptionally fresh red currant, floral, earth and subtle spice nuances. There is excellent intensity to the beautifully precise medium weight flavors that possess a sophisticated mouthfeel while delivering outstanding length on the moderately firm, serious and ever-so-mildly austere finish. Classy juice that is fashioned in an understated style. Drink: 2027+. (Jan 2018)"
93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2015 Combottes from Domaine Dujac had been racked two weeks before I tasted it and had bounced back very nicely. This is a very, very transparent red fruity example of the vintage, wafting from the glass in a fine constellation of red plums, cherries, raw cocoa, pigeon, a hint of nuttiness, a great base of soil and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and very soil-driven in personality, with lovely purity and depth at the core, suave, seamless tannins and a long, vibrant and perfectly balanced finish. Just lovely. 2025-2065. (Nov/Dec 2016)"
93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pure mid purple, elegant yet with concentration. Everything here is towards the back of the palate and the finish is pleasingly racy. The nose is a little bit smudged. Tasted Sep 2018."
