94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The old vines in the Domaine Dujac parcel of Combottes have really produced a magical wine in 2014, and happily, this wine was absolutely singing at the time of my visit. The deep, pure and utterly superb nose jumps from the glass in a blend of cherries, red plums, gamebird, woodsmoke, coffee, vanillin oak and a stunningly precise base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and very, very transparent this year, with a great sappy core of fruit, exceptionally suave structural elements, bright acids and a very, very long, nascently complex and energetic finish. This is notably airy, cool and complex with its intensely floral nose that is composed by notes of restrained red pinot fruit, earth and tea scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The racy, intense and beautifully precise medium weight flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence. This is not super dense but this certainly doesn't lack for intensity or refinement plus it should generously reward mid to longer-term cellaring. Drink: 2027+. (Jan 2017)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Dujac’s 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Combottes is simply wonderful. For some reason, I don’t buy the Combottes regularly. Tasting this bottle makes me wonder why. Lifted, perfumed and sensual, with striking layers of dimension, the Combottes does what only Pinot can do, and that is convey richness without weight. Captivating and so inviting, the 2014 is fabulous on this night. Drink: 2022-2044. (Jan 2020)"
