94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A dense purple colour. The bouquet is beautiful, very lifted, sensual with violets, as well as savoury strawberries, this is very complete with a depth of properly ripe, yet agreeably strict fruit, the stem element perfectly woven in. A really fine, poised long finish. (Nov 2023)"

96 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The Gevrey Combottes is once again a standout in the Dujac lineup. A discreet and subtle wine, the fruit ripeness is impressive, but it starts slightly closed and really opens on the palate with aromas of pomegranate, kirsch, and violets. The structure is impressive, with tannin that is at once firm but also very fine-grained and elegant. The density is rewarding, and the finish lingers on the palate. The grapes are from their 1.16-hectare site and are fermented as mostly whole clusters before ageing in cask. Drinking Window: 2035-2075. (11/2/23)"

94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Combottes 1er Cru is one of Dujac's strongest cards, and in this vintage, there's no change there. It has a beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-rich red fruit, subtle iris flower scents and a hint of sous-bois. It has more energy than an over-excited puppy. The palate is medium-bodied with a well-knit opening, harmonious with white pepper and clove-infused black fruit. It has fine backbone, precise and edgy on the finish that lingers long in the mouth. Excellent. Drink: 2027-2048. (Jan 2024)"

92-95 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.16 ha parcel). A cool, spicy and airy nose blends notes of fresh dark cherry, crushed fennel, rose petal and a whiff of lavender. On the palate the middleweight flavors could pass for a classic Chambolle as they're lacy and refined while displaying solid power on the beautifully complex, long and impeccably well-balanced finale. Lovely juice with excellent development potential. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Alec Seysses said, 'Given this is surrounded by Grand Crus on four sides, you could consider it a weaker Grand Cru or a better Premier Cru. The major difference is that the land dips here.' This is a hearty wine for sure with a smoky, oak-tinged nose and a wad of ultra-ripe blueberries at the core. Silky extract is held in place by supple tannins and supporting acidity. (2024)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes opens in the glass with aromas of orange zest, peonies and spices complemented by deep bass notes of plum and cherry. Medium to full-bodied, ample and unctuous, with a broad attack and a rich, layered mid-palate, it concludes with a long, saline finish. (1/18/24)"

92-93 points/'Fine+,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Gevery Combottes 2022 has great intensity, terrific balance, and deep fruit. The tension and energy from this delightful terroir can somehow be a bit overlooked between Morey and Gevrey. As always, this is a high-quality cuvee: It has verve, tension, and a powerful presence. Drink from 2036. (1/22/24)"
