95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Gevrey Combottes is right in the line of grands crus, between Latricières and Clos de la Roche, where Dujac has 1.16ha. The whole cluster fermentation and gentle extraction has produced a wine which is, with lots of lovely framboise fruit and spice, plus a lovely, expressive freshness and a tannic line on the palate. Delicious now, it will continue to develop for decades. Drinking Window: 2024-2049. (Oct 2020)"

95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "With its morello cherry and cinnamon notes, Aux Combottes is ravishingly ripe but very sapid, with mineral sparkles and anise notes on the finish. (2022)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Darkish purple with some reduction which soon passes. Lifted and attractive, with considerable weight, a slight briary feel, dark sweet raspberry, some tannins, good length. (Nov 2020)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Notes of orange rind, exotic spices, red berries, plums and incense preface the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered wine that's showing brilliantly in bottle. Seamless, lively and concentrated, it concludes with a long, perfumed finish. Drink: 2025-2055. (Jan 2022)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.16 ha parcel). A fresh and ripe nose is comprised by spicy and quite floral aromas of various dark berries, underbrush and a hint of the sauvage. There is very good energy to the delicious and nicely refined medium weight flavors that deliver excellent length on the intense and firm finish. This highly complex effort is really quite lovely and in particular I admire the impeccable balance. Drink: 2031+. (Jan 2022)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2019 Combottes from Domaine Dujac is a very refined, classically proportioned example of the vintage. The wine delivers a superb aromatic panoply of red plums, red and black cherries, cocoa powder, lovely soil tones, a hint of mustard seed, rose petals and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, refined and full-bodied, with a lovely core of fruit, suave, buried tannins, excellent focus and balance and a long, complex and elegant finish. This is a quintessentially refined bottle of Combottes. 2030-2080. (Jan/Feb 2022)"
