89-91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A medium to deep purple. The bouquet is more opaque than the Gevrey. Very little sign of the whole bunch spice. There is greater density here but it is perhaps less lively. The tannins are a little firmer behind. Possibly a more ‘serious’ wine but the more accessible Gevrey may be more in line with the idea of Fils & Père. (Nov 2023)"
88-91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(this has 10% 1er juice in it that comes from Les Charrières and Clos des Ormes with the remainder from the villages-level vineyard of Les Cognées). This too is attractively floral in character with its fresh combination of both red and dark pinot fruit, anise and a whiff of earth. The medium weight flavors are not quite as dense though they are finer with good length on the dusty and more obviously austere finale. Some patience advised. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2024)"
89-90 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Village is the most reserved of the three communal bottlings, unwinding to reveal aromas of plums, baking spices and potpourri, followed by a medium-bodied palate with good depth at the core and powdery structuring tannins. (Jan 2024)"
