There is still a bit of green around the edges on the palate, however, and the texture is slightly tart and slightly astringent. Extra precision, as always this wine seems to have a level of nobility over and above the Gevrey, while the stems add a white pepper freshness. The bouquet delivers a blend of strawberries, cherries, sweet stem tones, beetroot, coffee bean, mustard seed, bonfire and a lovely base of dark soil. On the palate the wine is fullish, complex and nicely balanced, with a good core and transparency, moderate tannins and a long, tasty finish. 2030-2065. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
