96-98 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Almost 100% whole bunch vinification for the Echezeaux. A beautiful vivid ruby purple. The nose is deliciously perfumed, a wine very much at ease with itself. Equally gracious on the palate, delivering a silky red fruit with refined tannins, and excellent persistence. Jeremy notes that they only really began to discover the hoped for silkiness in the Echezeaux after conversion to biodynamic farming – which for this vineyard began in 2001. (Nov 2024)"

93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Echezeaux Grand Cru is one of the bigger, more exuberant wines in the cellar, bursting with aromas of smoky plums, smoked duck, spices and orange zest. Full-bodied, broad and fleshy, it's layered and concentrated, with a long, saline finish. (1/30/25)"

93-95 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .69 ha holding in Champs Traversin). An exuberantly spicy nose of exotic jasmine tea, dried orange peel, black cherry, plum and soft wood precedes lilting and ultra-fine flavors that retain excellent precision on the powerful finish that tightens up markedly on the firm, long and very serious finale. Despite not being a monster of concentration, this is also clearly going to need time in bottle to realize its considerable potential. Drink: 2038+. (Jan 2025)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 Echézeaux from Domaine Dujac was absolutely resplendent and red fruit this year, which is a bit out of character, as I often think of this wine as one of the most consistently black fruity wines in the Seysses family’s lineup. The bouquet is gorgeous, delivering a constellation of red plums, raspberries, cocoa powder, a beautiful base of soil tones, woodsmoke, cedar and a refined mix of Vosne spices in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, tangy and sappy at the core, with superb soil signature, fine-grained tannins, seamless balance and a long, focused and very precise finish. Great juice. 2039-2090. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Hailing from Champs Traversins, this typically sees 100% whole cluster but was reduced by 30% this year due to limited tank space. There are herbal, wintergreen top notes followed by closed black fruits. The tannins feel rather strapping and almost hard, which is surprising as this cuvée tends to be forward. Jeremy noted that the tannins were quite square in barrel but feels that since the wines were moved to demi-muids they've taken on a different character. Speaking of oak, it is artfully integrated. Give this a few years to soften up. (2025)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru offers more red berry fruit laced with briar, touches of tobacco and just a faint touch of Wellington boot from the reduction. It has fine delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins and a keen line of acidity. It's quite structured on the back end, perhaps not manifesting the same complexity as the 2022, but it is a masterclass in restraint and poise. Drink: 2027-2048. (Jan 2025)"
