98 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "A vibrant and fresh wine, with bright red cherry fruit, a hint of rose petal and liquorice. The texture is silky yet dense, and the finish lingers impressively on the palate. This superb wine is a perfect response to those who disregard this grand cru. Dujac’s 1.47ha of Clos St-Denis is spread over several parcels and consistently produces one of the most emblematic grands crus of the domaine. In 2020, the Seysses family began picking on the 21st of August to retain freshness. Drinking Window: 2025-2070. (Nov 2021)"

96-98 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a slightly backward, tertiary bouquet that takes time to open in the glass. It eventually reveals blackberry, briary, sous-bois and hints of Earl Grey. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite spicy and pepper, this Clos Saint-Denis delivering a wonderful build towards its voluminous yet controlled, spicy finish. I must ‘fess up - I swallowed my sample. Drink: 2027-2050. (Dec 2021)"

95-98 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The Clos St-Denis is the wine which received the most punching down during extraction. most punches down. Virulent purple, strict and sturdy stuff, pure red fruit, with some cherries. Cheerful vigorous fruit, slightly more tannins, all the weight, a little more backward than Clos de la Roche. This is a powerful, serious wine with a very long term future. (Dec 2021)"

95-97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of rose petals, red berries, plums, blood orange, violets and raw cocoa. Full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's perfumed and seamless, with an ample core of vibrant fruit, powdery tannins and a long, resonant finish. (Jan 2022)"

96 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Dujac's two parcels sit in the climats Clos St-Denis and Les Chaffots. (NB There is also a Les Chaffots Premier Cru that sits just above the Grand Cru.) This is a glorious mash-up of all kinds of sweet red fruits – strawberries, plums and red currants – and delightful funky undertones of game and musk. Focused and concentrated on the palate, there's some nice extract here, too. The tannins are delightfully refined. 2025-44. (2022).

93-96 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.48 ha parcel). There is plenty of whole cluster influence on the perfumed aromas of red berries, spice, red and dark berries and a pretty hint of exotic tea. The energetic and beautifully delineated medium weight plus flavors exhibit focused power on the almost painfully intense and lightly stony, youthfully austere and hugely long finish. This is most impressive and a wine that should age gracefully thanks to its Zen-like harmony. Drink: 2037+. (Jan 2022)"

95+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Clos St. Denis from the Seysses family is a totally refined young wine. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a complex constellation of black plums, dark berries, venison, coffee bean, a beautiful base of soil, woodsmoke and new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very elegant in profile, with a sappy core, beautiful transparency, suave tannins and a long, tangy and nascently complex finish. Fine, fine juice- just be patient! 2036-2100. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
