97-99 points Fine Wine Review: "Vosne-like spices and red fruit aromas. Red fruit flavors, sensual texture, minerality length, smooth texture, some tannic underpinnings. My wine of the cellar on this visit, despite great competition. (4/23/20)"

98 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Right up there with the very best wines of the vintage in 2018, this is a beautifully refined expression of the domaine's St Denis, extending to 1.17ha of this finest of Grands Crus. Everything about this wine is in the right place, with subtle 75% whole bunches, polished, nuanced tannins, thrilling minerality, fine, floral red berry sweetness and lingering minerality. The sort of thing every Pinot lover should cherish. Drinking Window: 2026-2038. (Oct 2019)"

95-97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is also showing beautifully, bursting with aromas of raspberries, red cherries, cassis and raw cocoa that are complemented by fragrant top notes of orange rind, rose petals and violets. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, lively and elegant, with finer-grained tannins than the more overtly muscular Clos de la Roche, but with similar dimension and mid-palate presence, concluding with a long and perfumed finish. (Jan 2020)"

95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a wonderful bouquet of blackberry, wild strawberry, crushed rocks / sandstone and touches of dried blood. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, brown spices and a slight charcoal-like note. Moderate depth, quite masculine in style, a little austerity on the finish ... but that is what you want from a Clos Saint-Denis. Drink: 2024-2050. (Jan 2020)"

94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Ripe purple, for me this does not quite sing through so much as Clos de la Roche. Reserved but suggestive of a very pure clear and balanced fruit. Barrel gives a lactic element. Good acidity. This is biding its time but I suspect it is all there. Jeremy Seysses is a fan. Another barrel was more expressive, with a sumptuous raspberry fruit that is not cooked at all, and good acidity. Very promising. (Nov 2019)"

96+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Clos St. Denis here is every bit as magical as the Clos de la Roche. The spicy and red fruity bouquet is already very expressive, offering up a deep, pure and sappy constellation of red plums, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, a complex base of soil, cocoa powder, fresh nutmeg and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is elegant, full-bodied and very transparent, with a sappy core, great focus and grip, ripe, buried tannins and a very, very long, soil-driven and tangy finish. This is brilliant and maybe my favorite wine in the Dujac cellars this year (though I did not taste the RSV). 2030-2085. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.48 ha parcel). This is actually quite aromatically similar to the Clos de la Roche but a touch more elegant with its greater emphasis on spice and floral influences. There is excellent volume to the seductively textured, fleshy and succulent medium weight flavors that firm up immediately on the super-sleek and refined finish. This needs to develop more depth but there is so much underlying material, and the structure to complement it, that it should gradually develop. Like the Clos de la Roche, the tannins are very prominent, so patience is once again strongly suggested. Drink: 2038+. (Jan 2021)"
