However, the promise this wine showed out of barrel is still very much in evidence on both the nose and palate and only a bit of patience is required. The bouquet offers up a reserved blend of cherries, plums, blood orange, clove-like spices, complex soil tones and a touch of spicy wood. On the palate the wine is fullish, deep and very intensely flavored, lovely mid-palate depth, superb transparency, fine-grained tannins and very fine grip on the long, tangy and transparent finish. An utterly refined vintage of Dujac Clos St. Denis. 2016-2045. (Jan/Feb 2011)"
