98 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Dujac’s style is not for everyone – some find the use of whole bunches marks the wines excessively – but this was my bottle of the tasting. It’s a superb sappy, refreshing interpretation of this magnificent grand cru, with the freshness, focus and aristocratic bearing of Clos-St-Denis at its best. Peaty, spicy and very long on the palate. 2018-2028. (Jan 2018)"

96 points (18/20) La Revue du Vin de France (Jan 2004).

95+ points Fine Wine Review: "One of the underappreciated and largely misunderstood Burgundy vineyards is Clos St-Denis . It is a small grand cru, so not much of it is around, but Dujac is the largest owner, so this, one of the greatest, is the one you are most likely to find. The wine is characterized by purity and finesse with long spiced plum fruits. 2010-2030. (Issue #98; 2004)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2001 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru from Domaine Dujac is superb, wafting from the glass with a pretty bouquet of cherry, strawberry, rose petal and hints of espresso and raw cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, elegant and quite expansive with nice depth, an ample chassis of fine-grained tannins and deceptive length, its structural elements asserting themselves in the form of subtle grip on the finish. A great success that blossoms beautifully with air. Drink: 2018-2028. (Mar 2018)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "There was nothing in this bottle that made me want to modify my tasting note from Issue 13, except perhaps to suggest delaying the initial drinking window estimate by two more years. Otherwise, I simply repeat the in-bottle note here: Structurally similar but this is even more aromatically complex with more of a compelling mix of red and black fruits and a stunningly precise and pure flavor profile of abundant mineral notes and a chalky, slightly dusty finish. There is a really lovely mouth feel as the flavors are velvety and mouth coating. As good a Dujac Clos St. Denis as I can remember since perhaps the unmatched '78. Drink: 2011+. (Apr 2006)"

18.5/20 points Clive Coates (The World of Fine Wine): "Medium to medium-full color. Higher toned on the nose than their Clos de la Roche. Medium-full body. Complete, balanced, fragrant, and composed. Ripe and almost sweet. Very long on the palate. Lovely. (Issue #34; 2011)"
