97 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Complex and aromatically nuanced, showing well-developed plummy fruit, with accents of earth, leather, smoke and spice. The initial feel on the palate is tannic and concentrated, but the wine is still approachable and supple, with a lovely, long line to the lingering finish. Superb wine. Dujac owns nearly 2ha here, scattered across six parcels and five of the different lieux-dits, including the original Clos de la Roche, Les Froichots, Les Fremières, Monts Luisants and Les Chabiots, giving a balanced view of this grand cru. Drinking Window: 2025-2060. (Oct 2021)"

97 points Sarah Marsh, MW (The World of Fine Wine): "Rich, dark, and compact on both the aroma and attack. Cold, deep, and dense, with the richness of black chocolate but also with notable freshness and cut under the palate. Quite austere, and this carries the strict finish. Straight and persistent. Takes no prisoners. 2030-40. (2022)"

95-97 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Bright red purple, this has the most hedonistically gorgeous nose, ripe but stunningly accessible. Some pepper the fruit offering both red and black notes, as always with a drier finish but completely covered by the fruit. Superb balance and length. (Dec 2021)"

95-97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is no less impressive. Exhibiting aromas of plums, red berries and cassis mingled with orange rind, cinnamon, vanilla pod and spices, it's full-bodied, deep and layered, with a concentrated core of fruit, lively acids and a long, rose-inflected finish. (Jan 2022)"

95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru has an extremely pure bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, violet and crushed stone. This feels very focused and classy. The palate is very well balanced with supple tannins, fine acidity, very smooth and sensual with a welcome touch of bitterness towards the finish. A gorgeous wine, although I feel that Clos Saint-Denis has the edge. Drink: 2027-2048. (Dec 2021)"

96 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Slightly reduced, some bramble, blood orange and damp, fallen forest branches comes through on the bouquet. The broad, almost full-bodied palate is finely honed by dense but suave tannins and roaring acidity. This is wound-up and a bit backward now but its structural balance will nicely resolve with time. 2025-42. (2022)"

95 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is aromatically similar to the Clos St. Denis but even more floral. Here too there is a wonderfully attractive mouthfeel on the powerful, muscular and vibrant broad-shouldered flavors that are not quite as dense but offer even more precision on the highly persistent finale where hint of coffee and bitter cherry emerge. This terrific effort is a blend of power and refinement and a wine that should age accordingly. Drink: 2038+ (Jan 2023)"

95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Dujac Clos de la Roche is another superb bottle in the making. The wine offers up a fine nose of black cherries, black plums, dark chocolate, pigeon, bonfire, a touch of nutmeg, a complex base of dark soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and ripely tannic, with a superb core, excellent mineral drive and grip, lovely focus and a long, structured and promising finish. 2037-2100. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
