94-96 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "A sweet, expressive bouquet melds into dark red berries, mint, wild flowers, spices and crushed rocks in the 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St. Jacques. The 2012 speaks of finesse in its brilliant, beautifully delineated flavors and impeccable overall balance. The seamless, gracious finish makes it hard to resist a second taste. Drink: 2022-2037. (Jan 2014)"

95 points (17.5/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "...Lavaux Saint-Jacques... appears broader, with a beautiful tannic density and a very nice volume on the palate.(2015)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St-Jacques is reduced to just two barrels this year, from vines located just behind Bernard Dugat’s house, and includes around 75% whole cluster fruit. It has a beguiling, floral bouquet with dried violet petals infusing the lush dark cherry and cassis fruit that is extremely well defined and carries the oak with ease. The palate is medium-bodied with a gentle grip on the entry. This is a dense Gevrey but the acidity is nicely pointed and slices through the thickly layered dark berry fruit on the finish that springs a spicy tail to keep you on your toes. There is palpable energy here – superb. (Dec 2013)"

92-94 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Deep ruby-red. Fruit-driven aromas of blueberry and blackberry. Juicy and penetrating, with lovely sweetness and mineral lift to the flavors of crushed berries and espresso. With its firm spine of peppery tannins, this premier cru will need at least several years of bottle aging. (Mar 2015)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(vinified with <70% stems). A ripe, fresh and beautifully layered nose offers up notes of black cherry, plum, violets, earth and plenty of sauvage hints. There is excellent concentration to the mouth coating and detailed large-scaled flavors that possess a sleek muscularity before culminating in an explosively long and palate staining finish. This is a first rate premier cru and worth your consideration though one where patience will absolutely be required. Drink: 2027+. (Jan 2015)"
