97 points Susan Hulme (The Wine Independent): "This 2019 Duemani Suisassi is a 100% Syrah grown on 2 hectares of very stony soils, high up in Riparbella on the Costa Toscana. It is one of the most exciting Syrahs to come out of Tuscany because of its precise and clearly delineated flavors and aromas. It is both concentrated and intense but still manages to be lithe and lively at the same time. It has very finely drawn and clear flavors on the palate and compact tannins. Attractive flavors of creamy blackberries, blackberry leaf, spice, and a hint of mint drift across the palate with a light, slightly salty/savory flavor on the finish. This 2019 has so much of everything and shows a great potential to age well - it just needs more time to develop fully. Alcohol 15%. Drink 2024-2044. (9/28/22)"

This vintage delivers a powerful bouquet and a richly textured mouthfeel that is interwoven with meaty dark fruit, cured tobacco, dark cola, licorice and more exotic spice. The effect is very pretty, especially the manner in which these aromas mirror each other with seamless transitions. On the palate lots of mulberry fruit allied to fine-meshed tannins which build well. Still a bit rough on the finish. Alcohol 14%. (10/17/22)"
