92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Notions of citrus oil, crisp orchard fruit, oyster shell and candle wax introduce the 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Sécher, a medium to full-bodied, elegantly satiny wine with excellent tension and concentration, concluding with a precise, saline finish. This cuvée derives from a parcel of old vines acquired before the 2008 vintage. Drink: 2020-2035. (Apr 2019)"
91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "This is the first time I have noted the spelling of Sécher for this Left Bank premier cru, which is usually spelled as Séchet. Perhaps I have just been inattentive in the past. In any case, this is far more reserved in personality today than the lovely Réserve de Vaudon, offering up a youthful and still quite primary bouquet of lemon, grapefruit, chalky soil tones, white lilies and orange peel. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, long and still fairly closed (which is a very good sign in 2017), with a fine core, lovely soil signature, bright, vibrant acids and very good cut and grip on the focused and well-balanced finish. This needs a couple of years to blossom, but will be a fine bottle. Drinking Window: 2020-2040. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
