95 points James Suckling: "Beautiful nose of Amalfi lemon, candied lemon, vanilla and white flowers. Stunning combination of richness and vitality, the wine feeling light on the palate, in spite of the excellent concentration. Very long, mineral finish that displays wonderful silkiness. Drink or hold. (7/18/22)"

91-94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Slightly more prominent wood influence can be found on the slightly bright and more citrusy aromas of white orchard fruit, roasted nut and an array of floral wisps. Once again, the medium weight flavors are very generously proportion yet retain solid delineation thanks to the firm lemon-tinged acidity that maintains the balance on the solidly complex and highly persistent finale. Lovely. Drink: 2027+. (Jun 2022)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Full pale lemon. The bouquet is attractive with an intriguing note of liquorice. Quite full on the nose, with a little warmth as well as body, then brought back in to a beautiful finish. Good acidity. A little tension behind, needs time. A wine currently showing in two halves, but which may very well develop positively from here. A conservative score for now. (Nov 2021)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Meursault “Charmes” from Maison Joseph Drouhin is another absolutely superb bottle in the making. The bouquet is bright, precise and utterly classical in profile, delivering a mix of apple, pear, a touch of passion fruit, salty, chalky soil tones, almond and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, ripe and racy, with fine mid-palate depth, lovely focus and grip and most impressive backend energy on the long, complex and beautifully balanced finish. 2022-2050. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2022).

92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru is well-defined with tangible tension on the nose, before becoming overtly floral with white flowers and dandelion emerging. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tension, quite intense with plenty of energy zinging through on the finish. Drink: 2023-2036. (May 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Fuller, wider, almost a little creamy. Again – wow – such clarity of flavour. This direct style consistent through most of the whites so far. Vibrant finishing. That’s a great Charmes. (Dec 2021)"
