93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (Tim Atkin): (Jan 2024)
90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Drouhin is the only producer of this tiny .53 ha vineyard and owns 83% of it, or .44 ha; from vines planted in 1943. Pretty and ripe aromas of black cherry, poached plum and a hint of crushed herbs possess slightly better layering. There is fine volume to the even more generously proportioned and richer medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract which also buffers the slightly firmer tannic spine shaping the youthfully austere and lightly stony finale. Drink 2030+ (Jan 2024)"
(90-91) points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of smoky berries, plums, incense and petals introduce the 2022 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Au Closeau, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy wine with lively acids and powdery tannins that's produced from a parcel opposite Les Corbeaux where the soils are rather deep. (Jan 2024)"
