96 points Christy Canterbury, MW (Tim Atkin): "Massive and muscular, this nonetheless has balletic poise thanks to its gently rippling tannins and rigid backbone of cleansing acidity. The perfume is all-consuming with scents of blueberries, Marasca cherries, blood orange zest and drying flower bouquet. There is no whole cluster here, and the wine has nicely digested its generous new oak treatment. (Jan 2024)"
93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "No stems is the Drouhin-Laroze policy for Clos Vougeot. A dark and deep purple, with the barrel showing just a little. This has not been racked yet. We are back to the slightly saturated black fruit style. Firm on the palate, slightly dry wood tannins, yet with good energy behind. Backward, and not fully knit but with promise. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Nov 2023."
(92-94) points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is pretty and harmonious, offering up notes of sweet raspberries and plums mingled with rose petals, orange zest and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with sweet tannins and a saline finish, it was entirely destemmed. (Jan 2024)"
90-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "from a superbly situated 1 ha parcel high on the hill. Very firm reduction renders the nose completely unreadable at present. There is solid density and intensity to the attractively textured, even sleek, middleweight flavors that possess a fine sense of volume while offering very good length on the youthfully austere and mildly rustic finish where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. Drink 2034+ (Jan 2024)"
