97 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Black currant preserves, sweet fig paste and minerally savoriness create a sensational nose, thanks in part to 25% whole clusters. Notes of forest floor, licorice, Damson and vanilla bean edge in on the palate. The fruit purity is absolutely exquisite. Lightly chalky tannins and vivid acidity corral the broad and buff packet of mid-palate concentration. Long on the finish, this will be a thriller to age. (Jan 2024)"

(94-96) points Neal Martin (Vinous): "Blended with 25% whole bunches, the 2022 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru takes time to unfurl on the nose. It’s quite backward but well-defined with raspberry, wild strawberry, sous-bois and crushed stone. The palate is well-balanced with fine-grain tannins, fresh and lightly spiced, gaining depth towards the finish. Good vigor and persistence - this is a classy Clos-de-Bèze. Drink 2028-2050 (Jan 2024)"

93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy: "25% whole bunch vinification. More of a pinky purple. Still in barrel, so the bouquet reflects this. There is a fine and concentrated mineral thread through the middle of this wine and significant class to the fruit. Does it have the silky sensual quality of the very finest? Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted Nov 2023."

95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The 2022 Clos de Bèze from Drouhin-Laroze opens with ripe, expressive aromas of currants and kirsch, smoke, and peppery spice. The texture is silky, yet the tannins are firm, and there is no lack of substance here. The grapes come from a 1.5-hectare parcel in the centre of the vineyard; they are vinified using 40% whole clusters before ageing in cask (80% new) to deliver this substantial wine, which should begin to open after 2025 and will continue to improve for decades after that. Drinking window 2030-2065 (May 2023)"

(93-95) points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is showing brilliantly, wafting from the glass with notes of red berries and cherries mingled with incense, rose petals, spices and peonies. Full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's seep and multidimensional, with a concentrated core of fruit and a long, resonant finish. (Jan 2024)"

92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "from a parcel of 1.5 ha of vines planted in 1949. Like the Clos de Vougeot, this too is quite firmly reduced and revealing nothing aromatically. More interesting are the beautifully textured and tension-filled bigger-bodied flavors that exhibit fine length on the dusty and balanced finale. This would benefit from having better depth but the potential to develop it appears to present. Drink 2034+ (Jan 2024)"
