The nose is black fruity in the style of the vintage, delivering scents of black plums, black raspberries, espresso, dark soil, woodsmoke, pigeon, a touch of bay leaf, juniper berry and cedar. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and shows off lovely sappiness at the core, with bright acids, fine focus and grip, ripe, suave tannins and a long, energetic and complex finish.
