92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Full-on sous-bois with lovely spice and earth nuances, both of which can be found on the delicious, round and nicely detailed middle weight flavors that possess fine depth on the lingering and only slightly edgy finish that evidences a hint of acid tang. This is an usually well-balanced '83 because while there is a hint of warmth, overall it's really quite good. I would add that initially this was relatively closed though with an hour of air, it gradually emerged from its shell. Good stuff. Drink: Now+. (Mar 2019)"
