96 points La Revue du Vin de France (2026).

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Benoît said, 'This smells like you're in Bretagne.' Indeed, the aromas resemble the seashore, and the finish almost tastes salty. There are huge chunks of calcareous rocks in vines here. There are also pronounced notes of white peaches, nectarines and citrus. Despite the south and south-west facing vines, this feels more chiselled than usual this year, even with the 40% new oak. Very classy! (Jan 2025)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur is lovely, unfurling in the glass with notes of green orchard fruit, citrus zest, wet stones and oyster shell. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy, it's deep and saline, with as usual a quintessentially Chablisien profile. Drink: 2027-2043. (Mar 2025)"

94 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A fuller yellow with ripe orchard fruit, apricots and plums. More iodine in the background. A big solid block of fruit. Just enough acidity. At the moment the Valmur is less compelling than the Vaudésir, but all the building blocks are there. (Jun 2024)"

92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from recently replanted vines totaling 1.04 ha; aged in 50% wood but only a small percentage is new). Here the wood treatment is again quite subtle though not imperceptible on the cool aromas of sea breeze, citrus, wet stone and quinine. As one would expect, there is notably more size, weight, volume and power, if decidedly less refinement, to the big-bodied flavors that also possess a sappy mouthfeel that carries over to the sneaky long and balanced finale. This opulent effort could be approached young if desired but a few years of bottle aging should help develop better overall depth. Drink: 2031+. (Oct 2025)"
