92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "40% oak. A clear mid yellow. There is a saltiness to the bouquet which Benoît considers a hallmark. A big round ball of fruit on the palate, white rather than yellow, then back to the marine character to finish. A very solid wine suited to white meats more than fish. Fine persistence. Drink from 2029-2038. Tasted: June 2023."
92-94 points/'Sweet spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from recently replanted vines totaling 1.04 ha; aged in 50% wood but only a small percentage is new). This is also ripe but agreeably cool with its very fresh aromas of green fruit, just sliced citrus and oyster shell wisps. There is exceptionally good volume and richness to the more concentrated and markedly more powerful larger-bodied flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence on the robust finale. This won't win any awards for refinement but then again, refinement isn't why one buys Valmur. Drink: 2030+. (Aug 2023)"
91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru has a very aromatic bouquet with apple blossom, white peach, wet stone and light praline scents - complex. The palate is delineated and sapid on the entry, quite strict with quince and peach hints towards the sustained finish. Classy, if just missing the killer blow. Drink: 2027-2042. (Sep 2023)"
