95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The richness of the Fourchaume from Jean-Paul & Benoît Droin immediately brings to mind the wines of the Côte de Beaune, with the aromas of ripe mirabelle plum and pear with hints of smoke and spice. The texture is rich and creamy – almost fat – and leads into a lush, long finish. The grapes are from 0.39ha in the Vaupulent lieu-dit planted in alluvial soils; they are fermented and aged 50% in barrel to produce this luxurious wine. Drinking Window: 2030-2050. (10/12/24)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (Jan 2025).

93 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).

92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru plays with a clever reduction on the nose, still working better than the Montmains. Flinty and smoke notes come through with aeration. The palate has impressive weight, slightly honeyed in texture, maybe lower in acidity than the 2022 but it fans out beautifully on the finish. Very seductive. You've been warned. Drink: 2025-2035. (Aug 2024)"

91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume is derived from vines in Vaulorent at the intersection of the slopes where the soils are deepest. Offering up aromas of sweet stone fruit and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a richer, more textural profile than the more ethereal Vaulorent bottling. Drink: 2025-2040. (Mar 2025)"
