95+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2015 Hermannshöhle Spätlese is every bit as stunning as the Brücke, but it is not quite as concentrated at the core and shows a more delicate personality out of the blocks. The glorious bouquet soars from the glass in a mélange of pear, white cherry, citrus peel, a superb base of slate minerality, bee pollen, white flowers and gentle, wild yeasts overtones. On the palate the wine is pure, medium-full and very filigreed, with great focus, seamless balance and truly stunning elegance and refinement already in evidence right out of the blocks. The finish is very, very long, nascently complex and oh, so promising. It will be very interesting to follow these last two Spätlesen over the course of the unfolding decades and see if they start to dovetail a bit stylistically as the years go by. Another brilliant wine! 2022-2060. (Mar/Apr 2016)"

95 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2015 Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese opens with an aristocratic bouquet of coolish, flinty slate and citrus perfume along with concentrated Riesling flavors. There is great complexity and expression here! On the palate, this wine is highly elegant and its seamless, silky texture is like that of the Dellchen GG. Very salty, full of finesse and tension on the palate--this is a great, perfectly balanced Spätlese. There is no other Riesling in the Nahe that has such nobly aristocratic attitude. It's one of the finest Spätlese Rieslings you can buy from this vintage." (Dec 2016)
