97 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "From slate and porphyry soils in the terraced Norheim cru, the 2015 (Norheimer) Dellchen Riesling GG opens with a perfectly ripe, superbly defined and highly refined Riesling bouquet with stony, lemony, ripe apple and mocha flavors from perfectly ripe pips. This grand cru is truly complex and elegant on the nose, with fine floral and herbal flavors. On the palate, this is a pure, highly elegant, intense and silky textured Riesling with great finesse and expression. There is really great balance and length here, and it is not exhausting at all. The finish is a parade of minerals, salts, and the finesse of the best Dellchen I have ever tasted, and it does not end too soon to celebrate itself. This is a beautifully structured and smooth Riesling--a legend of clarity, finesse and elegance. Drink: 2017-2035. (Dec 2016)"

97 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "The new Miss World of white wines is Cornelius Dönnhoff’s Dellchen. A ravishing nose of wild roses and white peach leaves no possibility of doubt. The very sleek and perfectly proportioned body dances on the palate like no other wine of this vintage. The finish is super filigree and super long. (9/9/16)"

94 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "An intriguing and enticing nose suggests sea breeze mingled with mint, lilac, and peony. It also offers intimations of apple and white peach that then juicily inform a polished, subtly oily palate. Nips of cress, cooling impingement of mint and piquancy of peach kernel all serve for a fascinating tactile as well as flavor diversity, leading into a long finish that reveals mossy, stony depth and mouthwateringly oyster liquor-like savor. For me, this strikes an ideal balance between on the one hand “puristic” insistence on adamant dryness and dominant minerality; and, on the other, charm, irresistibility, and awareness of wine’s duty to refresh. Drink: 2017-2028. (Nov 2017)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2015 Dellchen GG is a superb wine in the making, but it is still quite young and will need some time in the cellar to start to unwind. The bouquet offers up a nascently complex constellation of grapefruit, tart orange, petrol, wild yeasts, lemongrass, lovely minerality, dried flowers and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and bottomless at the core, with racy acids, excellent focus and grip, impeccable balance and a serious load of backend energy on the very long finish. 2023-2060. (Mar/Apr 2016)"

93 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 28 16. This offers a rather ginger infused nose of grapefruit, melon and white peach. The wine is nicely fresh and direct on the palate and leaves a clean and delicately focused feel in the long and silky finish. This does not cry out loud nor is it not loaded with grip and minerals and other “goodies” as modern young GG often are. But it makes more than up for this with elegance and utter drinking pleasure. It is a wine easy to oversee in a large tasting. 2018-2025+. (Oct 2016)"
