The bouquet on the 2005 Hermannshöhle trocken is profound, as it soars from the glass in a blaze of pink grapefruit, lychee, a bit of banana, lavender and stunning minerality. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, deep and intensely flavored, with a glorious core of fruit, brilliant focus and structure, and stunning grip on the very, very long, soil-driven and racy finish.
