92-93 points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Riesling Kabinett Niederhäuser Klamm comes from a one-hectare plot with younger vines on porphyry soils, and the 2019 is only the second vintage made of this wine at Dönnhoff. The nose is precise, stony and dense, while the palate is intense, crystalline and salty, with generous yet elegant and refined Riesling fruit and lingering mineral tension, grip and complexity. Doubtlessly the finest Kabinett again this year. Tasted as a sample in Bremen, April 2020. (Aug 2020)"
92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Klamm vineyard in Niederhäusen has a fine foundation of volcanic soils, which adds a nice variation to the traditional Kabinett lineup at Weingut Dönnhoff. The bouquet of the 2019 Klamm Kabinett is pure and complex, wafting from the glass in a blend of pink grapefruit, breadfruit, wild yeasts, a complex base of minerality, citrus peel and a topnote of lemongrass. On the palate the wine is complex, medium-full and superbly filigreed and light in its step, with fine balance and grip, excellent focus and a long, delicate and lifted finish. Fine, fine juice. 2020-2050. (Jul/Aug 2020)"
