94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Bright, high-toned pomegranate fruit flecked with mineral and saline notes. There is enormous purity here, crisp acidity and perfumed finesse that is the essence of elegance. At 0.88ha, this is a relatively large parcel for the domaine. It is all located at or above 300m, exposed to the east in very calcium-rich limestone soil. The fruit is wholly destemmed and fermented, with a careful extraction before ageing in used casks. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (Nov 2021)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Beaune Les Bressandes 1er Cru has a very pure bouquet with no whole bunch, allowing the blueberry and wild strawberry fruit to flourish. The palate is very cohesive and (again), pure, with supple tannins, gorgeous blue and red fruit, silky smooth on the finish. This is a very well-crafted and quite sensual Beaune in the making. Top drawer. Drink: 2024-2038. (Dec 2021)"

91-93+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes was a little more reticent on this visit, offering up aromas of loamy soil, rich cherry and berry fruit, licorice and spices. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and lively, with powdery tannins and a long, saline finish, I look forward to revisiting it in bottle. (Jan 2022)"

91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An elegant, pure and airy nose is at once ripe yet cool with beautifully layered red and dark berries that exhibit subtle nuances of earth, violet and spice. The sleek, intense and delicious medium-bodied flavors possess the same fine depth as the nose while terminating in a dusty, even chalky, finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is also a really lovely effort that is worth your interest. Drink: 2030+. (Apr 2022)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "No whole bunch. Deep purple black with an intense bouquet that remains quite closed. Powerful sun-dried cherry fruit, the tannins are in balance and there is just enough acidity. Long and quite fine, with a return of blacker fruit at the intense finish. (Oct 2021)"
