92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru comes from the parcel that Amélie Berthaut was farming and was matured in 40% new oak. This has a delightful, beautifully defined bouquet with brambly red fruit, crushed stone and violet scents that blossom with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins. A touch of orange peel infuses the dark cherry fruit with a crackle of black pepper on the finish. This has a lot of potential. Drink: 2027-2045. While there is a major intensity of dark berry fruit, this first vintage of Cazetiers of the new regime still needs to grow into itself. There is still more black fruit at the back, but with a mineral thread to retain an element of freshness. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted Nov 2024."

There is good size and weight if only average density to the solidly powerful and mineral-driven flavors that also deliver excellent length on the moderately austere, firm and compact finale.
