96 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "A wine of pure silkiness, finesse and lyric beauty, the 2011 Romanée St.-Vivant graces the palate with dried rose petals, mint, violets and bright red berries, all supported by super-polished, crystalline tannins. Cool veins of underlying minerality support the precise, articulate finish. The 2011 is an introspective Burgundy built for the cellar, but it is drop-dead gorgeous. Drink: 2019-2036. (Mar 2014)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(this vineyard is presently divided into fourths by the Domaine and one section is never used, another is always used and the remaining two are evaluated and added or not as quality dictates; generally the amount held out amounts to 1.5 ha). This is certainly one of, if not the, most floral wine in the range in 2011 with the possible exception of the Richebourg. The extraordinarily elegant and airy nose is positively kaleidoscopic in its sheer breadth of spice elements that combine with the stunningly pure red and black raspberry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with rose petal nuances. The lacy, intense and beautifully precise middle weight flavors are harmonious and impeccably well-balanced on the fabulously long and silky finish where a touch of youthful asperity is present. This should be terrific in time. Drink: 2026+. (Jan 2014)"

94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2011 Romanée-St.-Vivant from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is a superb example of the vintage and a classically red fruity and spicy rendition of this supremely elegant terroir. The exceptional bouquet offers up scents of raspberries, cherries, lovely minerality, Vosne spice tones, duck, raw cocoa and a generous base of spicy new oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, pure and very transparent, with a great core of pure fruit, suave tannins and a very long, complex and tangy finish. A beautiful, young example of RSV. 2022-2060. (May/Jun 2013)"

94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Dark, bright red. Discreet, pristine aromas of raspberry, violet, rose petal and earth. Dense, pure and round, boasting terrific volume to its fat, sweet flavors of strawberry, raspberry, chocolate and underbrush. This really saturates the mouth and glistens on the perfumed, seamless aftertaste. Tannins are extremely fine-grained and smooth. Incidentally, some of the replanted vines in this grand cru went into the 2012 RSV for the first time. (Mar 2014)"

94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The Romanee-Saint-Vivant was picked on 8 and 9 September at 24.7hl/ha. Now this has a very interesting bouquet, quite distinct from the Richebourg and the Grands Echezeaux. It is much more exuberant and lifted, very perfumed with fresh strawberry, red cherries, dried rose petals and a touch of quince. This is so lively and vivacious, as if it borrowed some of the succulence from the 2009 vintage. The palate is quite precocious on the entry, the mouth instantaneously tingling with glee. There is a beautiful crescendo before fanning out towards its silky caressing finish. There is something playful and joyous about this Romanee-Saint-Vivant, carefree and alluring, a wine to be enjoyed as much as respected. 1,164 cases produced. Drink: 2016-2035. (Feb 2014)"

19/20 points Jancis Robinson: "Bright crimson. A little less forthcoming on the nose than the Richebourg. Vosne essence somehow - great energy and wonderful concentration but currently introvert. Almost a distillate rather than a ferment! Firm, dry finish after an array of extremely embryonic ingredients. Very clean finish. All about future potential. Drink: 2024-2045. (Feb 2014)"
