Deux Familles brings transparency and integrity to Cognac with small-batch releases that honor generational savoir-faire. This Single Batch expression—aged in Madeira wine casks—is a bold reinterpretation of tradition. Blending Fins Bois and Bons Bois Cognacs aged 6–8 years, the spirit is first matured in red and new French oak, then finished in 225L Limousin oak barrels formerly used for sweet Madeira. Bottled at 48.0% ABV with no additives and non-chill-filtered, it’s a purist’s dream. Aromas of raisin, prune, toffee, and coconut precede a mineral freshness and a touch of rancio. The palate balances fruit and oak: ripe grape, dry plum, and a subtle vinous edge. A modern Cognac rooted in legacy, best enjoyed neat or over ice.
