97 points Decanter: "(100% Chardonnay). A delicious interplay of honeyed toast, ripened fruit and smoky savoury notes with a soothing, creamy mousse and svelte acidity. Exuding charisma and typicity with a thrilling swirl of oyster shell minerals at the end. (DWWA 2025)"

96-97 points Essi Avellan, MW: "(100% Chardonnay). A wine that makes its entrance with glorious, gunpowdery reduction: bold, smoky and seductive. The nose is creamy and opulent, filled with barbecued pineapple, smoky coffee beans, and exotic spice. It’s flamboyant yet poised, a serial seducer. The blend (Avize, Oger, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and 5% Villers-Marmery) creates a wine of three-dimensional depth, where voluptuous, fleshy textures meet a spine of zesty lemon and yuzu. Supple, flirtatious, and shouting “come hither”. (Apr 2025)"

96 points Aldo Fiordelli (JamesSuckling.com): "Super-intense and toasty, evolved and rich. On the nose, it shines with cotton candy and caramelized nuts, flinty and citrusy. Medium-bodied, it has pinprick bubbles and tangerine flavors, showing zesty acidity and a long, filigreed aftertaste. Drink or hold. (7/11/25)"

96 points Falstaff: "Pale golden yellow, silver reflections, fine, persistent mousse. On the nose, delicate nuances of biscuit and a hint of stone fruit, underlaid with notes of ripe mango and papaya, blossom honey and a mineral touch. Taut on the palate, medium-bodied, notes of white apple, full of finesse, very well-balanced hints of yellow tropical fruit and white nougat on the salty finish. A delicate, almost tender, youthful style. Alcohol 12%. (9/26/25)"

95+ points Kristaps Karklins (Wine Advocate): "Disgorged in October 2023 with a dosage of 7.5 grams per liter, the 2014 Amour de Deutz is, as ever, anchored in fruit from the Côte des Blancs. The wine unfurls from the glass with a bouquet of lemon confit, nashi pear and quince, mingling with burnt caramelized sugar and a hint of smoky reduction. These aromatic impressions carry seamlessly onto the palate, which is at once elegantly muscular and charming. Medium- to full-bodied, simultaneously chiseled and grandiose, its vibrant core of fruit is underpinned by racy acidity, culminating in a saline, precise finish tinged with citrus. Whether attributable to differences in post-disgorgement evolution or not, the 2014 expression strikes me today as somewhat more tightly wound than the 2013, and it's certainly no less incisive—its character a reflection of another comparatively cool growing season, with all the attributes such conditions bestow. Drink: 2026-2042. (Oct 2025)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2014 Amour de Deutz is brisk, finely cut and nervy right out of the gate. Lemon peel, chalk, slate, mint and crushed rocks are all very nicely delineated in this taut Champagne. The 2014 remains fresh and full of youthful verve. Hints of apple tart, pastry and chamomile linger. Drink: 2025-2035. (Apr 2025)"
