95+ points Jeb Dunnuck (Wine Advocate): "[$100 list] Starting off the 2011s, both of which were tasted out of bottle numerous times, the 2011 Hermitage Domaine de Tourettes is another blockbuster from this producer. Full-bodied, rich, layered and voluptuously textured, it offers up a beautiful bouquet of smoked herbs, leather, ground pepper and assorted meaty nuances that are grounded by a rich core of cassis and darker berry fruit. While a big wine, it has remarkable freshness and purity, serious mid-palate depth and silky tannin, all of which allow it to dish out loads of pleasure, even now. Enjoy it over the coming 15-20 years. Drink: 2013-2033. (12/29/13)"

93-95 points Robert Parker: "The superb 2011 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes boasts a dense purple color as well as abundant aromas of creme de cassis, licorice, forest floor and pepper, a meaty, viscous texture, sweet tannin and loads of fruit presented in a well-balanced, pure, full-bodied style. It should be reasonably drinkable in 3-4 years and last for 20-25. Drink: 2015-2040. (12/26/12)"

94 points Falstaff Guide: "Balsamic patinated cherry fruit and some white penja pepper. Very linear and juicy on the palate, fine-grained tannin in medium-high quantity, ripe acidity and an age-appropriate discreet structure. Pleasant tactile mInerality, a classic construction with positive density. Will age very well. Alcohol 13.5%. (9/8/16)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "[$100 list] A sleek style, with ample depth to the plum coulis, cassis and blackberry paste flavors, all carried by lively spice notes and racy acidity that lets the finish stretch out, revealing a lingering loamy edge. (12/31/13)"
