94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "With almost 100% whole cluster, this is high toned on the nose with a symphony of sweet cherries, blueberries, grated spices and dried flowers. Smooth, long and gracious up-front, there is no mistaking the underlying power. This will drink beautifully for a very long while. (2025)"

90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .73 ha holding in Mitans proper). A slightly elegant nose features notes of the essence of wild red currant, anise and more floral elements. The lacy, even lilting, flavors are not especially dense but they do offer excellent punch on the refined, stony and balanced finale. This youthfully austere effort needs better complexity so at least a few years of cellaring should help. Drink: 2030+. (Apr 2025)"
90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Volnay Les Mitans 1er Cru, raised in 30% new oak with almost 100% whole cluster, has a rather herbaceous nose that might put off those seeking more fruit-driven Pinots. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, quite herbaceous again, typical de Montille style in a way. Maybe it needs a little more fruit on the finish to balance it all out. Drink: 2027-2040. (Jan 2025)"
90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Lighter purple, a more herbaceous nose but in a pleasing way, 100% whole bunch. Savoury strawberry with some herbs, good acidity and fine length. (Oct 2024)"
