94-96 points Fine Wine Review: "Dark berry fruit, tannins but they are ripe; Taillepieds structure is there. Good salinity. Great freshness. Huge success. 80% whole cluster. (3/3/25)"
95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This will be a pleasure bomb! Vinous, satiny and mellifluent on the palate, the flavors roll from one to another: brown spices, peppercorns, cool forest breezes, dried mushroom and Marasca cherries. The texture is as soft as flannel, and it is nudgingly corralled by sculpted tannins. This will be about 30% new oak, and my sample was from a second-use barrel. (2025)"
93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "100% whole cluster but shaped very differently. This is a much richer wine and the fruit swamps the stems. Generous cherry and raspberry, effortless balance, a beautiful bottle of Volnay in the making. The flavours come back in waves. (Oct 2024)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "Utilizing 50% whole clusters, the 2023 Volnay Les Taillepieds 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet with red cherries, strawberry fruit and potpourri, with the stems more assimilated here compared to the Les Mitans. Fresh and saline, the palate is medium-bodied with finely knit tannins and a brittle, chalky-textured finish. Give this at least a couple of years in bottle. This is very promising. Drink: 2027-2044. (Jan 2025)"
