95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Opens with a focused laser beam of lemony fruit, with saline mineral notes, a bit of smoke and spice. There is plenty of tension and freshness on the palate, but there is also no lack of the typical Meursault richness and depth. Very impressive. From the 0.45ha parcel in upper Perrières formerly farmed by the Château de Puligny-Montrachet. After pressing, the wines are fermented in a combination of large and small casks (30% new). Drinking Window: 2023-2050. (Nov 2021)"
92-94 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "Clear pure pale primrose. Punchy, concentrated stuff, this has the chiselled stoniness of Perrières, enough flesh behind, and builds to the back of the palate. Hovering around 13% alcohol, while the fruit comes out riper right at the finish. Tasted: October 2021."
91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .45 ha parcel). Here too there is a subtle if perceptible application of wood surrounding the slightly cooler aromas of Granny Smith apples, mineral reduction, anise and jasmine tea wisps. The wood is also present on the palate of the markedly stony, precise and almost painfully intense flavors that culminate in a bone-dry, focused and youthfully austere finale. This is pretty tightly wound and a wine that will need a few years to integrate its oak treatment. Drink: 2030+. (Jun 2022)"
91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a well-defined nose with perhaps more mineralité than others. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth entry, light tropical notes with hints of peach and apricot, quite sensual towards the finish that lingers in the mouth. Delicious, but maybe it just needs a little more tension. Closure: Diam Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (Dec 2021)"
