94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Tasted three times, this was slow to open. However, with time, a ripe, satisfying mulberry fruit with hints of oak spice and earth develop. The texture is fresh and lively, seemingly not as deep as the other Beaune premiers crus, although the complexity and elegance begin to come through near the end of ageing. The grapes are from 1.26ha near Bouchard's Baby Jesus vineyard (Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus) in sandy soils laced with iron-rich clay over limestone. Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (11/11/24)"
94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Grippy and focused, this turns up a surprisingly dark-fruited profile with black plums and licorice. It's as tasty as ever, and remains one of the most exciting of the many very good Beaune Grèves being made today. (2025)"
91-93 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "50% whole bunch vinification. Attractive lighter purple, deliciously perfumed, full of both ripe raspberry fruit and energy behind, good Grèves gravelly tannins and some acidity. (Oct 2024)"
91-93 points Fine Wine Review: "Fresh red currant nose. Saline, smooth, red fruits, light on palate, good density. Just under 50% whole cluster. (3/3/25)"
90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru shows a bit more stem addition on the nose, with almost 50% whole bunch, but it is proportionate to the fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a crisp line of acidity and slightly darker fruit. There is a touch of reduction here that will resolve over time. This is one for the more patient amongst you. Drink: 2026-2036. (Jan 2025)"
